The world is full of amazing beauty icons, but have you ever wondered who was the beauty icon the year you were born? We bet you’ll love them even more than you do now when you find out.
Let’s be honest; the world is full of beautiful and incredible icons that seem to make the world a better place. They are the kind of people that bring light to every room, and they are the kind of people that impact every single person they come across. Of course, these people don’t go unnoticed, and a large portion of these people soon make their way into the limelight and venture into the world of fame and fortune. This is especially true for women who have beauty and talent to their name.
There have been so many beauty icons over the course of history, and almost all of these have come from the celebrity world. They have been Hollywood hotshots, they have been singing sensations, they have been talented models, and they have even dipped their toes into the world of politics and regality. It’s amazing to look back in time and see these beauty icons in their prime, but what’s even more amazing is seeing these beauty icons who were all the rage the year you were born.
1950 – Audrey Hepburn
If you were born in 1950, you should feel pretty smug right now. Audrey Hepburn was the ultimate beauty icon this year, and it’s not hard to see why.
Audrey was one of the most impressive actresses of the Golden Age of Hollywood, and there was no doubt about the fact that her presence on the screen was captivating.
She seemed to be on top of the acting game, and there’s no doubt about the fact that this talent – alongside her impressive beauty – helped her score her eight marriages! Yes, Elizabeth was hugely popular with those who just loved her flawless face, her curvaceous body, and her beautiful and intense eyes. Taylor sadly passed away in 2011, but that doesn’t mean that we’ve forgotten about her.
1952 – Jean Patchett
The world is full of models, right? Well, those who were born in 1951 have the pleasure of calling one of the most famous models in history their beauty icon.
Jean Patchett was at the top of her game in the 1950s, and this high-fashion model was given a chance to appear on the cover of some of the most prestigious fashion magazines at the time.
It seemed as though everyone loved the flowing locks that she pinned close to her head because it showed off her modelesque bone structure, and they couldn’t get enough of the eyebrows that just drew even more attention to her stunning eyes. 1952 was certainly her year.
1953 – Marilyn Monroe
Let’s be honest; everyone knows who Marilyn Monroe is. This leading lady took the world by storm when she made her debut in 1945, and there’s no doubt about the fact that she really came into her own in 1953.
Not only was she a famous model, actress, and singer, but she was also a style icon that people just couldn’t get enough of.
Marilyn sparked a style evolution during her career and made waves as a woman who embraced her curves and her feminine beauty. Known as a “blonde bombshell,” many women across the world tried everything they could to replicate her trademark curls and her signature beauty spot.
1954 – Grace Kelly
Grace Kelly is the kind of name that just can’t be forgotten. The movie actress became a leading name in Hollywood during the course of the 1950s, and she became even more famous when she left the glitz and the glamour behind for a life in Monaco in 1956.
Before she became the Princess of Monaco, Grace had become a beauty icon – and it seemed as though everyone wanted to be her.
After all, who can blame them? In 1954, Grace Kelly inspired a natural revolution within the fashion world. She embraced her fresh face, and she instead focused on accentuating her bright and flawless skin. As if that wasn’t cool enough, Grace also sparked a new “college-girl” trend with her fashion.
